Would you like free support on your continuous improvement journey?
Quality Scotland is pleased to announce an opportunity for two of our members to apply for support from Walden University.
Walden University is an accredited online institution that has been providing graduate-level higher education to working professionals for nearly 50 years. Their Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme connects students to nonprofits and small businesses to complete an in-depth project that will help to improve their business.
Quality Scotland has the opportunity for 2 of our members to join this programme and benefit from this experience with no cost to your organisation.
Dozens of organisations in America are already benefitting from this programme and this is the first time it has come to Scotland.
“As administrators at Walden University, an online university serving working professionals for almost 50 years and with over 100,000 alumni across 85 programs at all degree levels, we are honored to partner with Quality Scotland on this wonderful initiative. As part of our Doctor of Business Administration program a select group of students are chosen to be scholar-consultants for external small businesses and non-profit organizations and use the Baldrige Excellence Framework and its Criteria for Performance Excellence as a guide to improving performance and achieving enduring results that align with the organization’s mission and achievement of strategic objectives. We look forward to partnering with you and your organizations for years to come.”
Robert Hockin, M.A., Ph.D.
Core Faculty/Consulting Capstone Coordinator
Over the course of nearly a year, a doctoral student will work with you one-on-one at a distance to complete a consulting project, such as a strategic plan or plans for marketing, fundraising, expansion, or succession that they will present to your organisation and the university. The DBA students are typically working professionals with career experience, who have completed an MBA.
This work should not be an extra burden on your organisation with all contacts being virtual and a clear plan being put together in advance.
The 2 organisations will be part of a cohort beginning work in September.
Quality Scotland will put forward 2 member organisations for consideration by Walden University, based on a review of all applications we receive. Please complete the application form and submit it to Quality Scotland by 12.00 noon on Friday 17th August.
Successful applicants will be notified by Friday 24th August.
Applications for this opportunity are now closed.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 0131 225 5765 for more information.
NB If your membership of Quality Scotland is discontinued during your connection with Walden University, this relationship will also cease.
