As well as celebrating the excellence journey of the award winners, including those organisations achieving Recognised for Excellence and Committed to Excellence, the event this year showcased some of the many transformations that have occurred over the years from Quality Scotland's members. Looking to the future, there was a focus on some of the opportunities ahead to help sustain excellence in organisations across Scotland, such as embracing the need for digital transformation and nuturing the next generation of talent.
Key speaker - Jack Allan, 95 Social
Jack Allan is the 23-year-old founder of 95 Social, an Edinburgh based start-up encouraging Scotland’s small businesses to think differently about social media.
Jack believes in demonstrating a business’ personality and the use of simple yet relevant content to engage and maintain an audiences’ attention on social media.
It was inspiring to hear about his professional journey into the world of communications in the digital era and his passion for supporting young people in Scotland to further their careers.
Host - David Tanner
Broadcaster David Tanner is best known for being the face of Scottish football on Sky Sports and for his work with BT Sport, TalkSPORT and BBC Scotland.
A slick host of live events and conferences, this was his third year presenting the Scottish Awards for Business Excellence with Quality Scotland.
As well as his TV and radio work, David Tanner is a communications expert, media trainer, skilled interviewer and he produces video content for corporate clients.
He is a proud ambassador for the Action for Children Scotland charity.
