Benchmarking for Improvement

What the course covers:
  •  What is benchmarking and when is it most useful?
  •  Who should I choose as benchmarking partners?
  •  Who should join the project team?
  •  How do I undertake a successful benchmarking project?

Using a tried and tested case study, participants work with others to try out new skills and convert theoretical knowledge into practical understanding. The afternoon session is highly participative and always enjoyed.

Why benchmarking matters to your organisation:

Benchmarking is a widely used method for creating step-change performance improvements. It provides evidence of your commitment to excellence for external inspections, audits or to compete for awards. It is relevant to commercial, public and not for profit sectors alike.

A survey of Scottish councils has shown lack of adequate training to be one of the biggest barriers to effective benchmarking.

How the course is organised:

A one-day course which can be run in‐house, with partners, or across organisations or established networks.  Please contact us to discuss courses and if you would like a different kind of support for your benchmarking projects.
