Given these lean times when it is all too easy to slash and burn our investment in people it has never been more important to link Learning and Development interventions with achieving the Business Strategy and demonstrating a real Return on Investment (ROI). That's where we go in this course, making sure that what we invest is really making a positive difference and is not just ensuring statutory compliance.
Who should attend?
Managers who are responsible for achieving results through the efforts of their people.
What will you gain?
This course can also be delivered in-house to suit your organisational requirements. Should you wish to find out more information as well as prices, please contact Shona, Frances or Eileen on 0131 556 2333.

Diana Beagent, is a member and Licensed Associate of Quality Scotland, having been accredited as a National Excellence Assessor. She is also co-founder and joint owner of Be Agents for Business Improvement, a small independent concern. She is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and the Institute of Business Consulting.
As Diana says, "For far too long some of us have been challenging organisations to identify the difference which learning interventions have made to their success; and for far too long many have remained unable to answer. Figures may be available for direct costs, and occasionally for indirect support, but links to results and the business planning process are notoriously rare. Combine this with the typical response, when times are hard, to cut back on investing in learning and development, and you have the situation which largely prevails today! This course has been developed to encourage participants to help their organisations to fully realise the benefits of their investment in learning and development, by effectively planning, resourcing, and managing the process, and by reviewing and using the outcomes to improve performance."
Diana feels strongly that we can all benefit from revisiting and refreshing our key skills in these areas. She has more than twenty five years active experience of management and continuous improvement, continues to be a pragmatic optimist, and is still happily learning. |
