Part of the mission of Quality Scotland is to convey the excellence vision to people in all walks of Scottish life and this has led to a close working relationship with a wide range of educational and community organisations.
If an excellence and continuous improvement culture is to be Scotland's future, then it must be fostered in the young of today. Quality Scotland runs a number of events for schools, with the support of the Membership. Our aim is to ensure that the young of today are made aware of the need for quality in all aspects of working life.
Each initiative is designed to make it easy for member companies to get involved with and contribute to these projects. Involvement is worthwhile, satisfying and rewarding for all concerned and contributes to the points one might accumulate against the "Society Results" element of the model.
Young Quality Scot Award
The Young Quality Scot Awards are citizenship awards, which recognise young people that are carrying out voluntary work in their local community. Award recipients are either nominated by organisations, other individuals or by self-application. Member companies also become involved by providing two days training in soft skills such as communication, teamwork and presentation skills.
