Committed to Excellence

What is Committed to Excellence?

Committed to Excellence is a Europe-wide recognition scheme that is an ideal starting point for any organisation – regardless of size or sector - wishing to embark on an improvement programme. Achieving Committed to Excellence will demonstrate to your staff and customers that you are serious about continuous improvement. It will help you understand your current level of performance and help you establish improvement priorities. Organisational units or branches within organiations may also apply.

The Benefits

  • A holistic view of your organisation, its strengths and areas for improvement
  • Starting point to plan you continuous improvement activities and to demonstrate to your stakeholders that you are serious about improving your organisation
  • Europe-wide recognition for your efforts in seeking to become an excellent organisation
  • And more…

What’s involved?

First, your organisation will carry out a simple form of Self-Assessment in order to identify potential areas for improvement and develop an action plan. You must then implement the action plan and, 6-9 months later, a Quality Scotland validator will ensure that these improvements have been effectively implemented. If successful, you will receive Committed to Excellence. For more details on this scheme download the Committed to Excellence Brochure (pdf) and the Committed to Excellence Information Brochure (pdf).  Alternatively, contact Ann Pike on 0131 556 2333 or ann.pike@qualityscotland.co.uk.
